Epupa Falls

Namibia's Kunene River valley is the ancestral home of 12,000 Himba people, a semi-nomadic people who have lived there for more than 500 years, tending their flocks and making their sacred fires (okuruwo).
Situated in the river, you will find the Epupa Falls. The main fall is about 15-20 meters tall, dropping into a multi-channeled gorge. The largest drop falls into a narrow horseshoe-shaped throat of the gorge, creating an interesting toilet-bowl effect when viewed from upstream.
