Established in 2011, Desert Air Maintenance (Pty) Ltd was founded to provide professional maintenance support for the Desert Air fleet. ​
Over the years, we have grown into a trusted maintenance partner for private aircraft owners and commercial operators across Namibia. ​ As a certified Part 145 Aviation Maintenance Organisation (AMO 087), our team of highly skilled engineers ensures that every aircraft is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and regulatory compliance. ​

Category A (Groups 3, 4 & 5) Airframes:

  • Twin Commander 690/695 series
  • Cessna 208 series
  • Beechcraft Bonanza A/B36 series
  • Beechcraft Baron 58 series
  • Cessna 100 & 200 Series series
  • Piper PA-24 & PA-28 series

Category B (Sheetmetal):

Major and minor Sheetmetal and Structural repairs on pressurised and non-pressurised aircraft carried out as per approved manufacturers instructions for continued airworthiness.

Category C (Groups 1, 2 & 5) Engines:

  • Honeywell TPE331 series
  • Pratt & Whitney PT6A series
  • Teledyne Continental Engine series
  • Textron Lycoming Engine series

Capabilities & Support

Our well organised maintenance facility is equipped to handle a wide range of maintenance tasks, including mandatory periodic inspections, annual inspections, component replacements, and airframe or engine repairs. ​ From routine maintenance to defect rectification, we ensure every task is performed with precision and care.

Our on-site parts store is stocked with a wide range of approved parts and hardware, including rotable parts, to support daily operations. Additionally, through our international supplier network, we can source specialized components within an average of 7-10 working days, minimizing downtime for our aircraft. ​
